In an effort to keep used bicycles out of our trash and to put them to good use,. the Herb Andrews Bicycling Ministry is holding a Youth Used Bicycle Give-away. These bicycles have been refurbished and are in good physical condition.

Bicycles will be given away on a first come, first served basis while the supply of bicycles last. An adult must be present with the child receiving the bike to qualify. We need to ensure that the bike is the appropriate size for the child.

Most bikes are for young children who are just learning to ride, but we have a few larger models as well..

Jett Riders Dip Into Atlantic Ocean 8/25/07
The Jett Foundation was the major service project for the 10thGear EAT tour in 2007. The ride is called the 10thGear JettRide. The Jett Foundation and 10thGear Riders joined together in the summer of 2007 to support awareness of, and funding for, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. During the tour we had opportunities to share the Jett story and the desire to assist our fellow brothers and sisters.

    10thGear GeoCoin in Nova Scotia

To date, the 10thGear Geo Coin has traveled 723 miles and is currently in a cache in Nova Scotia. What is geo-caching? Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for gps users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a gps unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache. Find out more on geo-caching by clicking www.geocaching.com.

We used geo-caching on tours in 2006 and 2007 as a way to motivate the riders and keep them alert during long riding days. We will be using geo-caching on the tours in 2008. Find out more on the 10thGear geo coin by clicking TBWBAJ, our tracking id
